Since coming across these I've scoured the internet for a decent price as I would love own one for myself.
Long overdue but here is my first outfit post!
I'm wearing a Vintage Jacket snagged for an awesome £12 at a tiny vintage shop hidden in Walsall. It screams Nia! loud, bold and gold, I spotted this jacket and spared no time in making it mine, it's the type of jacket that needs no styling, it's bold, loud and beautiful just as it is, it has a small amount of gold edge detailing around the patchwork which I adore, so I've teamed the jacket with my Clarks Gold leather Bodkin Bays and kept my bottoms and vest a simple black to avoid overworking the outfit. Of course I couldn't resist adding jewellery. I'm wearing gold a necklace purchased from Ebay.co.uk And to finish off I added these lovely Vintage sunglasses I found in Mr.Birds Emporium at the Custard Factory, I was actually out with my two friends when I spotted these, they're so cute and they were a bargain for £5, my friend was feeling very kind so he purchased them for me, of course I wore them to rock them immediately after buying, aren't they the cutest?
I am wearing: Vintage 1980's thrifted Jacket/Blazer, Clarks Bodkin Bays, Next Black trousers, basic black top. Ebay.co.uk Gold necklace, thrifted Vintage Sunglasses.
I've had this blog for the longest time, yet never took that step to set it up and actually use it,for quite a while I've been using Tumblr as a blog platform, Facebook as a social media tool and Instagram to publish things such as OOTD and images of my artwork. I've decided to finally start using this blog because I want to be able to post images of things such as my fashion outfits and art, so here I am!
I know most of my post will be about what I get on with in uni (upcoming) things I buy (fashion, clothes, SHOES) and illustration I do.
So let's get started with an (long-ish) intro about me:
- My name's Nyimasata Sonko (Nia for short). I'm currently 20 years old, I'm a student and I live in Birmingham, I plan to move out to London this Autumn to study Fashion at University level. I love fashion more than anything else, of course I have my own idea of what is fashion, and I like to share that with the world out there. I'm obsessed with shoes, the more creative the crazier and artistic a shoe is the better! I also have a ridiculous for the Korean culture, food, music, people and language. (You might see me posting a lot about them :D) and I have strange addiction for all things mint, especially shoes and bags. I should also mention that I that I have a love for electrical and gadgets, like to take small electrical apart and fix them (in my spare time) and have always wanted to open my open my own gadget repair shop (after becoming a designer of course!) Strange combination of career choices isn't it :)
My goal in life is to become a fashion designer. For me personally that is the only goal in life worth achieving and striving for, I'm pretty career orientated and strive for that one goal, I want to be able to accomplish launching my own fashion label/brand in the near future, and possibly work as a freelance Illustrator as well.
I spend most of my time either illustrating, trying to make clothes, learning Korean as a language or watching Asian Drama!
(If you actually bothered to read through all of that waffle then I applaud you :D)
Hope you enjoy what's to come on my blog, whatever that may be!
